REGISTRATION

 

How do I register?

You can register in-person or online.

 

What is the registration fee and what does it include?

The fee for Riders is $60 and for Passengers $30. Registering for the Ride for SickKids event includes a RFSK t-shirt and mask. You will also receive a prepackaged lunch from Shoeless Joes at the end of the Ride.

 

How will I receive my t-shirt and wristband?

All registrants will have a Registration Package mailed to the address provided upon registration.  This will include, but is not limited to, a RFSK t-shirt, mask and an entry wristband.

 

Do all passengers/guests have to register?

All passengers must register and sign a waiver form. Unfortunately, we cannot welcome guests for the 2022 Ride.

 

What if I miss pre-registration & want to register the day of the ride?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate in person registration for the 2022 Ride.

 

THE EVENT

 

Can I join the fun if I don’t have a motorcycle?

Our usual answer is Yes!  Anyone who would like to register can participate in the activities of the Ride for SickKids!  Unfortunately, we cannot welcome guests for the 2022 Ride.

 

Can I Bring my children with me?

Children are always most welcome at the event!  Unfortunately, we cannot welcome guests for the 2022 Ride.

 

When does the event end?

The event ends at the destination point, which will be announced on the website.

 

Will alcohol be served at the event?

The 2022 event will not have alcohol.

 

FUNDRAISING

 

How can I send in early funds?

We suggest directing your donors to your personal fundraising page to make an online donation.

Credit card payments are accepted on our website; via email; or over the phone.

E-transfers are also accepted.  Please send to email address rideforsickkidspayment@gmail.com

 

Will each donor receive a tax receipt?

Online donations will receive an immediate electronic tax receipt. SickKids Foundation will mail an official charitable donation tax receipt for all other donations of $20.00 or more.

It is important that each pledge form be fully completed. Please also ensure that all names and addresses are NEATLY PRINTED so that the receipts can be properly processed and mailed to the correct recipients.

 

Will I, as the rider, receive a tax receipt?

Only if you personally have donated $20.00 or more. The individual who actually makes the financial donation is the one who get the official tax receipt.

 

THE RIDE

 

What happens to the ride if it rains?

The Ride will take place rain or shine.

 

How long will the ride take?

The suggested route will take a leisurely 60 to 90 minutes.

 

How will I know the route if I miss the departure time?

It is imperative that you arrive on time to ensure we stay on time to clear the parking lot for the next group.  For your information, the route will also be posted online on our website.

 

Must I take the entire suggested route, or can I take one of my own?

You can take any route of your choice to the end location.  Please keep in mind that our ride is fully escorted and designed for your safety and enjoyment.

 

THE NEW FUNDRAISING INCENTIVE PROGAM

 

What is the new 4-tiered reward system?

For 2022, we have introduced a tiered fundraising reward program!  Hit designated fundraising goals and choose from RFSK swag.

 

How do I redeem my credits?

Fundraising will close on August 31st at 11:59pm.  In the following weeks you will receive a letter in the mail, or an email, with details of your credits and how to redeem them.

 

How will I receive the RFSK swag?

Once you choose your swag, it will be mailed directly to you.

 

THE PRIZES

 

Do I have to be there to win the grand prize?

No, the Grand Prize winner does not need to be present.  Our tickets include a space to write your name, phone number and email address.  We will contact the Grand Prize winner with news.

Raffle prize winners must be present to receive the prize, or another ticket will be drawn.

 

When will the grand prize winner be drawn?

The grand prize draw is scheduled to take place live, online on October 1st.

 

How can I increase my chances of winning?

Fundraise! Purchase tickets!

 

Who is eligible to win?

The announced Grand Prize ticket must be presented by an eligible person, as defined below, to the authorized Ride for SickKids official conducting the draw after the ticket is drawn and the

number is announced AND for any other prize ticket drawn.

 

The following people are not eligible to win the Grand Prize: SickKids’ current directors, officers and employees, Ride for SickKids team members and Ride for SickKids current sponsors (and their representatives) and any person living in the same household with any of those individuals (whether related or not). The Ride for SickKids authorized representative shall apply the eligibility criteria above to decide whether the individual presenting the announced Grand Prize ticket is eligible to win the Grand Prize. The decision is conclusive, final and binding for all purposes.

 

Can I pick up my prize at a later date if I can’t take it home the day of the ride?

An alternate pick-up site with convenient access dates/times will be arranged for larger items that cannot be transported by motorcycle on the day of the ride. We would be happy to help!
